Purchasing Specialist

What you'll do

• Process requisitions and prepare purchase orders for materials, supplies, tooling, parts, equipment, and outside services
• compare supplier quotations
• negotiate routine pricing and delivery terms within guidelines
• monitor open orders and follow up on delays and shortages
• identify alternative suppliers
• coordinate material priorities with internal departments
• review stock levels and replenishment needs
• maintain supplier relationships and purchasing records in the ERP system
• support invoice and receiving discrepancy resolution
• prepare reports and cost comparisons
• identify process improvements and support safety and quality initiatives.
