What you'll do

• Manage incoming patient calls and messages for Gastroenterology
• verify patient information as needed
• identify, resolve, or escalate patient needs
• document calls in the electronic health record
• prioritize and route urgent calls
• guide callers through the patient portal or to the appropriate department
• maintain a safe and compliant work environment
• help train new employees as needed
• cross-train for general medical assistant duties during slower call periods.
