Registered Nurse – Swing Shift

The Registered Nurse – Swing Shift role is onsite in Taos, NM, in a correctional facility. Compensation is $44–$47 per hour. CorrHealth provides nursing services to inmate patients and supports the facility’s health and security requirements. The nurse assesses patients, plans and delivers nursing care, responds to medical issues, and documents treatment. The role contributes to maintaining or restoring patient health while following facility security procedures and protecting patient dignity and confidentiality.

What you'll do

• Assess new inmates and identify health problems
• initiate medical records and special-needs requests
• respond to medical issues and emergencies
• administer prescribed treatments and medications
• prepare equipment and rooms for examinations
• manage prescribed drugs and IV therapies
• meet with the HSA to review services
• delegate tasks appropriately
• educate patients on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention
• maintain confidentiality and facility security.

Why this role

Schedule is Friday–Tuesday, 3:00–11:00 p.m. Requires an unrestricted Registered Nurse license, CPR/BLS certification, and a current TB test. Correctional healthcare experience is preferred but not required. The role may serve as charge nurse or acting supervisor in the HSA’s absence.
