The Program Substitute role is onsite in Kenai, AK. Pay is $16.01 per hour. The position supports the Kenaitze Indian Tribe’s Education Division and its programs for children and families. The substitute fills in across the assigned classroom, group, reception, or kitchen area with support from regular staff. The role helps maintain a safe, positive, and developmentally appropriate environment and supports children’s learning and family services.

What you'll do

• Support classroom and group activities for children ages 0–5 and K–12
• supervise students and complete necessary documentation
• prepare materials for lesson plans and daily activities
• support transitions and a positive atmosphere
• greet and assist children, families, staff, and visitors
• help with food preparation, service, washing, cleaning, and sanitizing
• maintain confidentiality
• report suspected child abuse or neglect according to tribal policies.
