The Youth Specialist II & III, Detention Services role is onsite in Dayton, OH, in a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week. Pay is $22.34 per hour. The position supervises and monitors youth in a secure correctional facility, promoting safety, accountability, and appropriate behavior. Through observation, coaching, group sessions, documentation, and coordination with families and staff, the specialist supports youth needs and facility security.

What you'll do

• Supervise and monitor youth
• observe behavior and emotional and physical needs
• maintain group control and use de-escalation techniques
• support social skills and accountability
• enforce security procedures and intervene in altercations as prescribed
• complete behavior logs and incident reports
• conduct group sessions
• communicate with other shifts
• transport youth
• monitor visitation
• admit and orient youth
• provide basic needs and CPR, AED, or first aid as necessary.
