The Senior Application Security Engineer role is remote-first and may be performed from home within the employer’s approved U.S. states, including North Carolina. The salary range is $170,000–$190,000 per year, plus bonus and meaningful equity. Oshi Health provides care for people with chronic gastrointestinal conditions and aims to protect sensitive health data on its healthcare platform. As the company’s first dedicated senior security engineer, this hands-on role establishes and operates security across its application, cloud, identity, and AI development environments. It helps protect patient information, strengthen engineering practices, and support secure growth of the platform.

What you'll do

• Own application and product security, including threat modeling and secure design and code reviews
• design security architecture for agentic software development
• manage non-human identities and secrets
• secure AWS services and infrastructure
• configure and enforce security tooling and code review controls
• assess AI and vendor integrations involving protected health information
• manage vulnerabilities and penetration-testing findings
• support HIPAA technical safeguards and detection and response.
