Maintenance Technician 3, Distribution Center Automation

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician 3 role is onsite in Smithfield, RI. Pay is $34–$37 per hour. The technician supports FGX International's distribution center automation equipment; FGX designs and markets non-prescription reading glasses and sunglasses. The technician diagnoses, maintains, and repairs automated systems to restore equipment to service and prevent recurring problems. The role works with engineering and technical support teams and documents maintenance and repair activity.

What you'll do

• Perform diagnostic checks and preventive maintenance
• troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems
• repair or replace components
• assemble and commission fixtures, machines, and robotic equipment
• document equipment changes and repairs in SAP Plant Maintenance
• use computer interfaces and custom software
• read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and service manuals
• report safety concerns and clean work areas after repairs.
