Medication Technician

Job overview

The Medication Technician position is onsite in Fort Collins, Colorado, with a PRN schedule. Pay is $20–$26 per hour. Storybrook Care and Rehabilitation provides short- and long-term care for seniors. The technician supports resident safety and quality of life by administering and documenting medications according to established procedures. The role also includes following care plans and infection-control guidelines, reporting medication errors or missing medications, and promoting resident independence.

What you'll do

• Follow policies and procedures for medication administration, ordering, and delivery
• immediately report medication errors or missing medications
• provide care as indicated by resident care plans
• promote resident independence in accordance with service plans
• follow infection-control guidelines
• transfer the medication cart properly between shifts
• document medication administration in the electronic health record
• interact with residents with patience, compassion, and integrity.
