Compensation is $20–$21 per hour. The Assistant Early Childhood Educator — Head Start role is onsite in Dover, NH, with a 40-hour workweek as scheduled. The role is in the Early Care and Education department and supports the Head Start program. Under the Lead Teacher’s guidance, the assistant supports children’s development and school readiness in a safe, inclusive learning environment. The role helps plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities, maintain child records, and partner with families to support learning at school and at home.

What you'll do

• Supervise children
• assist the Lead Teacher with program planning and curriculum implementation
• guide learning activities
• support developmental screening and individualized instruction
• maintain attendance, meal, and education records
• communicate with families
• assist with home visits and conferences
• participate in training and team meetings
• assume Lead Teacher duties when the lead is not in the classroom.
