Job overview
CT Technologist at St. David's Medical Center in Pflugerville, TX. This is an onsite position. Compensation is not specified. The schedule is 7a-7p on Fri, Sat, and Sun. This role performs CT scans and takes x-rays according to the standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the American College of Radiology and the Texas Medical Board to assist in diagnosis or treatment.
What you'll do
- Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques. Verify written orders match requisition prior to performing exam. Follow appropriate protocol for the exam ordered. Administer contrast material using proper technique. Enter appropriate charges and reviews for accuracy. Correlate patient’s clinical history with procedure
- assuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist. Manage patient flow to ensure that exams are prioritized appropriately and performed efficiently.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program
- Experience
- One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting. Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology program. Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David’s Healthcare policy. Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R)). Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT)) within 6 months of CT assignment.
