The Engineering Manager, Transportation Design role is onsite in Chicago, IL, with a base salary range of $160,290–$195,910 per year. The role supports Milhouse’s Civil/Transportation work, including highway and railroad design projects for Illinois clients. The manager leads a transportation design team and oversees project development and delivery, combining technical guidance, quality assurance, client relationships, and staff development. The work supports the growth of the transportation project portfolio and delivery of plans and specifications to clients.

What you'll do

• Lead and mentor the transportation design team
• oversee and assist with highway plans and specifications for Illinois clients
• maintain client relationships and support business development
• coach and develop staff
• ensure project quality assurance and quality control
• contribute to billable projects, initially including IL 38 Phase II plans, IL 251 Phase I/II, and final design for five Illinois Tollway plazas.
