What you'll do
- Provides direct care for CVMS patients (post op day one CABG, thoracotomy and vascular surgery patients).
- Monitors and cares for newly tracheostomies.
- Assesses and maintains wounds requiring wound vac and other complex wound management.
- Assesses, manages, and educates patients and families on new ostomies.
- Works collaboratively with general surgical and OMFS residency services.
- Completes initial assessment and develops plan of care, implements interventions, and modifies plan based on continuous evaluation.
- Ensures patient and employee safety, communicates effectively, and offers constructive feedback.
