Voter Contact Field Director

The Voter Contact Field Director role is onsite in Des Moines, IA, with full-time employment through November. Pay is $1,146–$1,500 per week. The Outreach Team partners with organizations on campaigns intended to support democracy and civic engagement. The director recruits, trains, and manages local canvassers who contact voters at the door, while canvassing personally to train staff and lead by example. The role sets goals, supports staff development, maintains quality and safety standards, and manages campaign reporting and administrative work.

What you'll do

• Manage a team of 15–20 hourly canvassers
• canvass several days a week to train staff and drive office goals
• set goals and hold staff accountable
• train, motivate, and support staff
• identify and develop a leadership team
• foster an equitable and respectful team culture
• implement quality control
• maintain a healthy and safe work environment
• develop plans to reach targeted voters
• manage reporting, records, payroll processing, and materials distribution.
