Homeless Shelter Site Worker is an onsite role in Pittsburgh, PA, paying $25 per hour. The role supports operation of the winter shelter and assists people experiencing homelessness who use the shelter service.

What you'll do

• Set up and break down the shelter site daily
• place and clean mats and cots
• move and inventory supplies
• assist with intake, data collection, and entry into the County’s Homeless Management Information System
• help coordinate transportation
• serve and distribute food
• support de-escalation and client engagement as needed
• and help create a welcoming environment for shelter guests.

Why this role

Seasonal position running from November 18 through mid-March; available for five shifts per week. The shelter operates seven days a week, with shifts from 5:30 p.m.–1:30 a.m. or 1:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m. Requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
