Sterile Processing Technician

Job overview

The Sterile Processing Technician role is onsite in Saratoga Springs, NY. Compensation is $20.50–$29.25 per hour. The position supports surgical procedures at OrthoNY Ambulatory Surgery Centers. The technician cleans, assembles, tests, and sterilizes instruments while maintaining processing records and quality controls so required instrumentation is available for procedures.

What you'll do

• Open the processing department
• test washers and autoclaves and document results
• decontaminate and prepare instruments
• assemble sets and run sterilization cycles
• perform and document biological testing
• operate equipment safely
• report malfunctions and positive test results
• maintain quality and infection-control records
• coordinate instrument availability with the operating room charge nurse.

Why this role
