Senior Transmission Line Engineer

Senior Transmission Line Engineer in Clinton, MD. This is a hybrid position with a salary range of $73,450.00 - $132,775.00 per year. Leidos is a technology leader serving government and commercial customers. This role involves contributing to electric transmission line design projects for high-voltage overhead and underground systems. The engineer will perform engineering analyses, prepare bidding documents, draft plans and specifications, and prepare material procurement and construction documents, working with a multi-person Leidos team and supporting clients.

What you'll do

• Execute technical design and engineering tasks related to high-voltage transmission lines.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Perform engineering analyses, including PLS-CADD modeling and structure loading calculations.
• Communicate and coordinate project progress with the Project Manager.
• Maintain technical proficiency in industry-standard software and Leidos design processes.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor’s in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

Experience

Bachelor’s in Civil, preferred, or Mechanical Engineering with four plus (4 +) years of relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems.
