The Counselor II/III — Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment role is onsite in Delano, CA, inside a state prison. Compensation is $32 per hour. Amity Foundation describes its work as teaching and therapeutic community programming, including prison and re-entry programs. The counselor delivers face-to-face rehabilitative programming to participants in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program. Facilitating evidence-based classes, individual sessions, and release-prevention planning—and documenting participant progress—supports program participation and rehabilitation.

What you'll do

• Facilitate cognitive behavioral intervention classes using standardized, evidence-based curriculum
• conduct classes and individual sessions to develop release-prevention or action plans and provide make-up work
• evaluate and document participant progress
• record program service delivery in ARMS
• engage participants and reinforce group norms
• collaborate with CDCR/CCHCS headquarters, the institution, and contracted staff.

Why this role
