Mitigation Technician

Job overview

The Mitigation Technician role is onsite in San Antonio, TX, with pay of $20–$25 per hour. Compensation includes medical, dental, vision, EAP, disability, life insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and paid holidays. The role supports Watterson Environmental Group’s property restoration services. The technician helps stabilize and restore damaged properties by assessing damage, performing cleanup and remediation, operating drying equipment, and documenting work. The role also supports safe, customer-focused project completion in coordination with the Mitigation Manager and other team members.

What you'll do

• Perform water mitigation, fire and smoke cleanup, mold remediation, and demolition under the Mitigation Manager’s direction
• assess damage and identify salvageable materials
• set up, monitor, and remove drying equipment
• extract water, remove debris, clean, sanitize, and handle contents
• document progress with photos, moisture readings, sketches, and job notes
• communicate with customers
• follow safety procedures and use PPE
• operate company vehicles and restoration equipment
• maintain tools and equipment
• assist with containment, site protection, equipment transport, warehouse organization, and training.

Why this role

IICRC restoration certifications and two or more years of restoration technician experience are preferred. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and hold a valid driver’s license.
