Junior Accountant

The Junior Accountant role is hybrid in Arlington, VA, with a salary range of $60,000–$75,000 per year. True Ground Housing Partners is a nonprofit affordable housing developer whose rental communities serve more than 5,000 people in the Washington, DC metro region. Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the junior accountant supports accounting operations for real estate development, land-holding, and retail properties. The role helps maintain accurate records, process payments, monitor project funding and rent collections, and support monthly accounting activities.

What you'll do

• Process and track invoices, approvals, and payments
• respond to vendor inquiries
• track construction loan draws, project funding, and intercompany transactions
• perform bookkeeping for land-holding and retail property entities
• monitor rent collections and common-area maintenance charges
• assist with account reconciliations, monthly close, and corporate credit-card accounting.
