The Cook role is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA, with varying full-time schedules that include weekends and shifts of 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Starting pay is $19 per hour. The position supports dining at Stoney Point Meadows, a senior living community operated by Cassia, a nonprofit senior care organization. The role also supports kitchen sanitation, food-service safety, inventory awareness, and resident service.

What you'll do

• Prepare meals, specials, and grill service according to recipes and quality standards
• perform short-order and batch cooking
• inspect the kitchen for safety and sanitation
• wash dishes and clean the kitchen
• review planned meals and special diet requests
• follow diet restrictions and modifications
• report low stock or high-demand items
• attend required meetings and training
• provide resident service and help motivate team members.
