The PM Mechanic role is an onsite position based in Carolina Beach, NC. This role supports the GFL Environmental fleet maintenance team in Wilmington, NC, ensuring the reliability of heavy-duty diesel and CNG trucks. The role exists to perform critical preventative maintenance and safety inspections on the fleet. By conducting routine checks and repairs, the mechanic ensures that all vehicles are road-ready and compliant with safety standards.

What you'll do

• Perform essential PM services, including tire, oil, filter, and brake inspections and replacements.
• Assist leadership and senior technicians with full-system inspections.
• Take trucks on test drives to diagnose potential issues.
• Conduct routine DOT, PM, and safety inspections.
