The Production Team Lead, 1st Shift role is onsite at facilities in Auburn Hills and Pontiac, MI. Hours are 5:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with mandatory Friday overtime currently required. Pay is $19–$25 per hour, based on experience. Peninsula Plastics manufactures reusable plastic packaging solutions. The lead coordinates a small team of machine operators and supports equipment setup, troubleshooting, safety, quality, and production efficiency. The role helps meet daily production goals while maintaining standards and developing operator capability.

What you'll do

• Lead and support approximately two to four machine operators
• train operators on equipment, safety, and quality standards
• monitor production schedules and quality expectations
• coordinate with supervisors to prepare orders and minimize downtime
• assist with performance evaluations
• help set up and adjust thermoforming machinery
• operate equipment and troubleshoot production issues
• use hand and power tools
• load and unload materials
• maintain production records
• keep work areas organized and identify workflow improvements.

Why this role

Injection molding experience is required at a minimum; thermoforming experience is preferred. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Work locations in Auburn Hills and Pontiac are approximately one mile apart.
