CNC Swiss Operator

Job overview

The CNC Swiss Operator role is onsite in Geneva, IL. Compensation is $18–$24 per hour. The operator supports production at Smith & Richardson by running Swiss and CNC lathe machines and inspecting parts during production.

What you'll do

• Operate Swiss and CNC lathe machines as needed
• inspect the first part at startup and inspect during production using measurement tools
• verify material and size before loading
• monitor machines and tooling
• modify tool offsets and help with setups
• meet work-order production rates
• read drawings and workmanship standards
• complete work orders and inspection documentation
• identify nonconforming material
• perform preventive maintenance checks
• follow safety standards
• and move parts to the next operation.

Why this role
