What you'll do

• Install commercial flooring materials including carpet, tile, sheet vinyl, LVT, VCT, rubber, and laminate.
• Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, grinding, patching, and removing existing flooring.
• Apply adhesives, sealants, and moisture barriers.
• Install cove base, transition strips, stair treads, and trim.
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and work orders.
• Operate hand and power tools such as floor scrapers, grinders, rollers, seam cutters, and heat welders.
