Direct Support Professional (DSP)

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) role is onsite in Fredericksburg, VA, with compensation of $16–$18 per hour. Full Armor Supportive Care supports people with intellectual, cognitive, or developmental disabilities in pursuing their fullest potential. The DSP provides personal care and practical daily-living support while helping clients remain safe and encouraging self-help activities. The role contributes to clients’ well-being through respectful assistance, documentation, household support, and accompaniment to appointments and errands.

What you'll do

• Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, feeding, ambulation, toileting, and health-related tasks
• remind or assist clients with self-administration of medication after proper training
• maintain a safe environment and report changes in client condition or family situation
• document services
• perform light housekeeping and laundry
• plan, shop for, and prepare meals
• accompany or transport clients to appointments and errands
• encourage self-help activities and positive relationships.

Why this role
