The Director of Nursing (DON) is an onsite leadership role based in Burlingame, CA, with a salary range of $135,000 to $175,000 per year. This position supports the Skilled Nursing Health Center at The Terraces at Los Altos, a nonprofit Life Plan Community dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults. The role exists to oversee all clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a high-performing nursing team. The Director of Nursing partners with residents, families, and interdisciplinary staff to deliver exceptional, person-centered care while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence.

What you'll do

• Conduct routine rounds to monitor resident well-being and quality of care
• ensure nursing services align with care plans and regulatory standards
• serve as a primary point of contact for residents and families
• oversee admissions, transfers, and discharges
• supervise and develop nursing leadership teams.
