What you'll do

• Provides physical therapy services according to a written physician's plan of care.
• Advises, consults, and teaches appropriate treatment procedures and supportive activities to clients, family members, and agency staff.
• Assists the provider in evaluating the level of function.
• Participates in the development of the plan of care.
• Prepares clinical and progress notes.
• Translates exercises into functional activities of daily living.
• Develops plans for modifying equipment, appliances, and the client's home environment.
• Confers regularly with the attending provider regarding client progress.
• Interprets treatment implications to the client and family.
• Provides families with information, support, and encouragement.
• Prepares and submits clinical and progress summaries.
• Supervises physical therapy assistants.
• Maintains accurate clinical records.

What we're looking for

Education

Graduate from a School of Physical Therapy approved by the American Physical Therapy Association or Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the Physical Therapy Association.

Experience

At least two (2) years’ experience in an acute hospital or equivalent experience (preferred)
