The Civil Heavy Equipment Operator — Traveling role is an onsite field position based from Piedmont, SD, with travel to project sites nationwide. The stated base pay is $23.27–$39.02 per hour, based on experience. The role supports GenPro Energy Solutions’ Field Operations team on utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. The operator helps prepare and develop project sites by safely operating heavy equipment for grading, excavation, and racking and pile foundation installation. The work contributes to delivering energy systems on schedule and on budget, while supporting construction crews and maintaining equipment and site safety.

What you'll do

• Operate heavy equipment including pile drivers, skid steers, backhoes, telehandlers, bulldozers, excavators, compactors, and trenchers
• inspect equipment and report issues
• install racking and pile foundations to specifications
• excavate, grade, and compact soil
• move materials and equipment
• assist tradespeople
• maintain clean and safe work areas
• participate in site safety activities
• perform routine preventative maintenance
• and complete required logs and paperwork.
