Job overview

The Shift/Safety Supervisor role is onsite in New York, NY; compensation is $50,000 per year. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 4 p.m.–midnight, with Sunday and Monday off. The role supports safety and security operations at the Children’s Rescue Fund facility. The supervisor leads Safety Monitors and oversees facility safety, client and staff civility, incident response, and required documentation. The role also supports shelter operations through intake, occupancy updates, staff training, and administrative oversight.

What you'll do

• Supervise Safety Monitors and ensure safety and security duties follow agency protocol
• conduct and document fire drills
• respond to and document incidents
• report child abuse to the state Central Registry
• provide vacancy and occupancy updates
• accept referrals and conduct family intake
• answer and direct calls
• oversee patrols and CCTV monitoring
• support enforcement of shelter rules
• train Safety Monitors
• audit desk logs and incident reports
• complete appraisals and end-of-shift reports
• schedule van use
• oversee staff use of the CARES system for intake, incident reports, and bed management.
