Make Ready Maintenance Technician

Job overview

Make Ready Maintenance Technician is an onsite role in Slidell, LA, with compensation of $20–$23 per hour. The position prepares vacant apartments for new residents and helps keep the property in good condition. The technician inspects units, identifies and completes repairs, and performs routine and preventive maintenance so apartments and shared areas are safe, functional, and ready for occupancy. The role also responds to resident maintenance requests and supports property upkeep and safety compliance.

What you'll do

• Inspect vacant units and identify needed repairs
• repair or replace fixtures, appliances, and hardware
• perform routine and preventive maintenance, including light-bulb replacement, leak repairs, and drain clearing
• assist with emergency maintenance as required
• pressure wash, paint, and perform landscaping tasks
• maintain clean, safe, and functional common areas
• follow safety protocols and use PPE
• report hazards and maintenance issues
• respond to resident requests and communicate with the Property Manager and team.
