Direct Support Professional – Residential Services

Job overview

The Direct Support Professional role is onsite in Rochester, NY, with a schedule of Monday and Tuesday 3–9 p.m., Wednesday 3–11 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 7 a.m.–3 p.m. Starting pay is $21.55 per hour, plus a $0.75 weekend shift differential. Lifetime Assistance’s Residential Services team supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role provides personal care and daily support while helping individuals build independence, self-help, and social skills. The professional follows individualized service plans, supports community participation, and helps maintain each person’s health, safety, and well-being.

What you'll do

• Assist with hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and household tasks
• support independence, self-help, and social skills
• support health and safety, including medication administration if certified
• implement and document individualized service plans and daily supports
• encourage community integration and social and recreational activities
• drive agency vehicles for transportation as needed
• communicate with individuals, families, and colleagues
• complete required training and certifications.
