What you'll do

• Listen to customers and clarify vehicle symptoms
• inspect vehicles, take test drives, review maintenance records and service schedules
• verify warranty and service-contract coverage and explain provisions
• prepare estimates for materials, supplies, labor, and customer payments
• create repair orders and obtain approval
• explain estimates and expected vehicle return
• answer questions, arrange towing or temporary transportation, and maintain automotive records.
