Commercial Service Technician — HVAC, Refrigeration & Kitchen Equipment

Job overview

The Commercial Service Technician role is onsite in Houston, TX, with extensive daily travel to customer and job-site locations. Compensation is $25–$45 per hour. Day & Nite AmeriServe services commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment for restaurants, hotels, and other commercial customers. The technician diagnoses, repairs, maintains, and installs commercial systems and equipment, helping customers keep essential operations safe and functional through reliable service and preventive maintenance.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and test commercial HVAC, refrigeration, air-handling, and cooking equipment
• perform preventive maintenance and inspections
• interpret schematics and technical documents
• explain issues and recommendations to customers
• complete work orders and service records
• manage parts and materials
• follow safety procedures and use required PPE
• participate in an on-call rotation and respond to scheduled after-hours emergencies.

Why this role

Requires at least five years of relevant service experience, EPA Universal CFC/608 certification for applicable work, and a valid driver’s license. High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred. The role includes an on-call rotation and weekend availability as needed.
