Transportation Manager

What you'll do

• Coordinate trucking, drop boxes, non-ferrous transportation, railcars, containers, outside jobs, and other transportation needs
• participate in dispatching
• coordinate railcar orders and container movements
• resolve escalated transportation issues
• coordinate equipment maintenance
• manage carrier relationships, rates, agreements, records, and invoices
• monitor costs and performance
• promote safety and regulatory compliance
• lead and train transportation employees
• improve procedures and workflows
• collaborate with Operations, Sales, Accounting, and Maintenance.
