Registered Nurse — Infection Prevention and Wound Care

What you'll do

• Conduct weekly wound rounds with the wound physician
• ensure recommended treatments are ordered and carried out and entered in treatment records
• review treatment records weekly
• coordinate care for admissions and readmissions with pressure ulcers or skin breakdown
• update wound tracking sheets and care plans weekly
• submit weekly wound tracking to the Director of Nursing Services
• arrange and track special mattresses as needed
• coordinate preventive skin care and devices
• follow up on new skin breakdown and submit required pressure-ulcer investigations
• supervise rehabilitation CNAs, review rehabilitation nursing records weekly, and coordinate residents’ entry into the nursing rehabilitation program.
