The Surgical Coordinator role is onsite in Oakland Park, FL. The schedule is Monday 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Pay is $23 per hour based on experience. The role supports Midland Medical's care for people affected by HIV, hepatitis C, sexually transmitted infections, and other infectious diseases. The coordinator manages the preoperative medical-clearance process from scheduling through completion. By coordinating testing, documentation, and communication with patients, providers, surgeons' offices, and surgical facilities, the role helps ensure requirements are completed accurately and by surgery deadlines.

What you'll do

• Coordinate preoperative clearance appointments
• communicate surgery dates, documentation requirements, and deadlines with surgeons' offices and facilities
• obtain and review clearance requirements and orders
• schedule required testing and consultations
• track surgery dates and pending cases
• prepare and verify clearance packets
• transmit completed documentation within required timeframes
• perform clinical duties within the applicable Medical Assistant scope of practice.
