Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician

Job overview

The Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician role is an onsite field position based in Fayetteville, NC, with travel to customer locations; compensation is $28–$38 per hour. The technician helps keep customers’ commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment safe, reliable, and operating efficiently. The role exists to diagnose and repair equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and resolve service calls while communicating clearly with customers and the DOC team. Reliable service helps minimize equipment downtime and supports customer operations.

What you'll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment, including freezers, coolers, and ice machines
• perform preventive maintenance
• identify electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues and defective components
• identify parts and supplies needed
• document service activities and communicate updates
• maintain the company vehicle, tools, and equipment
• follow DOC safety procedures and applicable OSHA requirements.

Why this role
