Decommission Technician

Job overview

The Decommission Technician role is onsite in Twinsburg, OH, with compensation of $20–$25 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. The role supports Emerald Transformer’s transformer services, equipment life-cycle, and materials-handling work. The position disassembles decommissioned power distribution equipment, salvages reusable components, and handles materials safely and in compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements. This work supports safe, efficient material flow through the decommissioning process.

What you'll do

• Disassemble decommissioned power distribution units
• salvage metals and reusable components
• handle and dispose of oils, solvents, and other liquids according to facility and regulatory standards
• move units on roller conveyors
• use hand and pneumatic tools
• operate forklifts and overhead cranes as required
• maintain tools and a safe, orderly workstation
• package or bale materials and load trailers
• work overtime or call-in hours as required.
