The role supports dependable, safe transportation by following routes and schedules, completing vehicle checks and required records, and maintaining a calm environment for children during trips.

What you'll do

• Safely transport children between participating elementary schools and the center
• follow assigned routes and schedules
• conduct vehicle safety checks before and after transportation
• assist children entering and exiting the vehicle
• maintain a safe, calm environment
• complete transportation and attendance documentation
• communicate with teachers, center leadership, school personnel, and families
• report concerns, vehicle issues, incidents, or schedule changes
• keep the vehicle clean and organized
• follow center policies and Virginia childcare transportation and safety requirements.
