What you'll do

• Develop commodity sourcing strategies
• translate MRP requirements into purchasing plans
• place and manage purchase orders and requisitions
• maintain purchase-order changes and resolve invoice discrepancies
• obtain and analyze quotes
• negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts
• manage total landed cost and cost-saving initiatives
• monitor supplier delivery and quality
• address supply risks and transitions
• implement engineering changes with suppliers
• improve purchasing processes and work instructions
• recommend freight and shipping options.
