Inventory Technician — Laboratory Equipment

Job overview

The Inventory Technician — Laboratory Equipment role is onsite in Corning, NY. Pay is $24–$25 per hour. The technician supports the MSE department by organizing and managing its five laboratories and helping maintain a world-class laboratory environment.

What you'll do

• Sort, organize, inventory, and manage laboratory equipment
• enter equipment data into an inventory management system
• learn and train others on the system
• research and document equipment specifications
• organize lab space
• inspect and document safety and general issues
• help keep labs clean
• research, order, and set up equipment
• develop new AI-involving methods to find equipment for building and prototyping.

Why this role

The assignment is nine months with possible extension. Prior laboratory experience is required; an associate degree or bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a high school diploma as the minimum. CAD skills are preferred.
