Part-Time Ophthalmic Technician

What you'll do

• Take patient histories and perform preliminary assessments, including visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and refraction tests
• perform and document ophthalmic diagnostic tests
• prepare exam rooms and supplies
• maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot equipment
• assist with minor in-office procedures
• respond to clinical messages
• facilitate prescription refills and prior authorizations
• document records in the electronic medical record
• and provide patient education as directed while following HIPAA and practice protocols.
