Job overview

The Senior Test Engineer, Manufacturing role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN, and reports to the Test Engineering Manager. Compensation is $125,000–$140,000 per year. Det-Tronics develops industrial life-safety solutions, including flame and gas detection and automation control systems. The engineer develops and maintains production test equipment, fixtures, software, and processes. Working with design, compliance, manufacturing engineering, and production teams, the role supports product quality, line efficiency, shipment schedules, and safety goals.

What you'll do

  • Improve production test equipment, software, tools, fixtures, and processes
  • coordinate with vendors on test fixtures
  • troubleshoot and repair production test equipment
  • define test requirements with design engineering
  • create automated and semi-automated test equipment
  • develop fixture software in C# and support C#, C++, Python, and LabVIEW programs
  • maintain controlled documentation
  • support preventive maintenance and manufacturing execution systems
  • analyze test capacity and production flow
  • support quality, efficiency, and safety goals.
