Senior Product Design Engineer

Job overview

The Senior Product Design Engineer role is hybrid in Phoenix, AZ, with four days per week in the office and one day remote. The anticipated annual base salary range in the Phoenix market is $115,000–$130,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus or commission depending on position. Enstall develops rooftop solar mounting hardware and supports a vision of solar on every rooftop. The engineer leads research and development projects for new and advanced solar racking and mounting products and improves existing products. The role turns customer and business needs into tested, production-ready designs through concept development, prototyping, cross-functional collaboration, and supplier engagement.

What you'll do

• Lead product development projects and R&D efforts for new products and improvements. Generate concepts using brainstorming, sketches, mockups, and CAD
• develop and verify concepts using 3D CAD, prototyping, and cross-functional input
• create production-level drawings
• collaborate with suppliers on design for manufacturing
• plan tests and qualifications
• verify fit, function, and standards
• and manage project meetings, schedules, costs, and risks.
