Lead Employment Specialist / Job Coach

The Lead Employment Specialist / Job Coach role is community-based, serving the East Providence-to-Newport corridor and surrounding communities in Rhode Island, with Providence, RI as the listing location. Pay is $22–$24 per hour. RISE Services is expanding its employment-services program in Rhode Island to help people with disabilities obtain and maintain competitive, integrated employment. The specialist provides direct employment services, helping participants identify goals, find jobs, and succeed at work. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to program development as services grow; additional hours and future leadership responsibilities are possible but not guaranteed.

What you'll do

• Provide career exploration and employment planning
• assist with job searches, applications, resumes, and interview preparation
• conduct job development and employer outreach
• coordinate interviews and hiring activities
• provide onsite job coaching and workplace support
• teach workplace communication and routines
• develop natural supports
• help participants address employment barriers and retain jobs
• communicate with participants, families, employers, and referral partners
• complete service documentation
• participate in planning and community meetings.
