Swyft Fiber’s Outside Plant team supports fiber-to-the-home network construction and maintenance. The splicer performs precision fusion splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to build and maintain fiber networks and restore service when faults occur. Accurate records and coordination with construction, engineering, and project teams help ensure network quality and timely deployment.

What you'll do

• Fusion-splice single-mode fiber cables, including large-count cables, in aerial, underground, and buried environments
• interpret construction prints, splice diagrams, and routing sheets
• test and certify spans using OTDR and other equipment
• troubleshoot faults and perform emergency repairs
• splice and test in enclosures, cabinets, vaults, hand holes, terminals, and NIDs
• maintain splice organization and documentation
• coordinate work with construction, engineering, and project management
• maintain equipment and vehicle inventory
• follow safety protocols and travel between job sites.
