Employment Specialist

Job overview

The Employment Specialist role is primarily community-based in Bridgeport, CT, with regular travel throughout the service region to employer sites, state facilities, and community locations. What you'll do

• Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized career plans
• network with employers and identify competitive integrated employment opportunities
• provide on-site job coaching and training
• support workplace integration and job retention
• explain Social Security work incentives and connect people to benefits counselors
• address employment barriers and connect clients to resources
• participate in team meetings and coordinate services
• transport individuals to job sites and appointments as needed.
