Direct Care Worker, Residential Support

Job overview

The Direct Care Worker role is onsite in Pineville, LA. Compensation is $10–$11 per hour. LA Health and Rehab provides residential support and active treatment based on each client’s Individual Plan of Care. The worker provides frontline support that helps clients build daily living skills, confidence, and progress. The role implements care plans, supervises activities, documents incidents, and supports routines and personal care under the Program Director’s guidance.

What you'll do

• Implement Individual Plans of Care and Behavior Management Plans
• support self-administration of medication when applicable
• assist with intake and plan development
• provide individual and group counseling
• document incidents each shift
• supervise activities and events
• provide transportation
• support grooming and hygiene
• coach cooking, shopping, meal planning, and household routines
• follow safety and emergency policies.
