The Preschool Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Winchester, MA. Pay is $19.00–$21.00 per hour. Little Sprouts and its affiliated schools provide early education and childcare, guided by a research-based approach and sustainable education practices. The assistant teacher supports the Certified Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing learning environment. Through classroom support, child supervision, and family communication, the role contributes to children’s development and daily learning experiences.

What you'll do

• Assist the Certified Teacher with lesson plans and learning experiences
• help maintain an organized classroom and sustainable routines
• supervise children during activities, meals, transitions, and outdoor experiences
• support individual developmental needs
• greet families and assist with teacher-directed communication
• attend required training and maintain certifications
• collaborate with the teaching team on classroom systems, curriculum, and sustainability initiatives.

Why this role

Year-round location operating Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. High school diploma and experience working with young children are required; an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred.
