Ophthalmic Technician

The Ophthalmic Technician is an onsite, full-time role in Tyler, TX. Compensation is not specified. It also helps maintain clinic flow, prepares rooms and supplies, and supports physicians during treatments and minor procedures.

What you'll do

• Provide patient service
• verify patient information and record medical history, medications, and visit purpose
• enter data in the EMR
• assess pupils, eye muscles, visual acuity, and extraocular movements
• perform dilation, refraction, pressure checks, visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL master, autorefractor, and topography testing
• document visits and procedures
• prepare patients for treatments and minor procedures
• record vital signs as required
• open and close exam rooms
• clean and stock assigned rooms and maintain drug counts
• perform assigned office duties.
